We are all excited about the replays....that's great. My only problem king is that you have a picture of my wife as your icon!

Also, just out of curiosity, are the FG replays actually accurate as to where the ball is going or is it just a "FG made, random FG made replay / FG missed, random FG missed replay"?

Is it just me (or bad graphics), but do all kicks make it to the goal post? Even the 64 yarder wasn't short! And they all go like right TO the post.. no wide right, down the middle, etc... Hmm?

This man has the right idea. If you could all call me King in the future, I think we would all be better off.

Yeah but what's wrong with that? People come for the block in the 2nd Q of games. They also onsides if they can catch the other team off guard. Presumably you'd never be able to catch the other team off guard in GLB, as the coverage team would automatically line up in onside return mode.

Because Bort said earlier in this thread that he doesn't want people doing it all the time.

This is an important question imo

They can be short; I was testing with FGs on every play and tried some 90 yarders. They can be short, LOL. The kicker on the test server's got a pretty good leg, AFAIK.

Ugh. I don't understand why the automatic solution to "this shouldn't happen all the time" seems to be "let's not allow it" rather than "let's make the sim work properly so that only idiots would try it"

It's the same kneejerk response that causes people to call for the nerfing of speed for positions where speed shouldn't be the dominant attribute, rather than making the sim such that it doesn't reward such builds.

I'll be honest, when I saw just the title of the thread, I was expecting to see links to kickoffs that launched through the uprights.
I never even considered that FG replays were really on the test server.

Wow.

Speed = GLB Dramma since season 1 imo. Most epic stat by far.

It's using the same formulas as before to figure out if you missed or not, so percentages should be the same as they always have been. Then it decides based on your rolls if it was wide or short, or both. Then it chooses a random left/right direction to kick it to, if it's wide. However, the amount of wideness depends on how bad the roll was missed, so it does give some feedback.

For example, IRL teams don't do this because the recovery rate is low. If the recovery rate is sufficiently low, why not let people do whatever they want? I mean, they will lose all their games for being idiots anyway, that will prevent it from becoming prevalent and in the proper way, without playing nanny to all the owners and coaches out there.

Also...it's not like real life kickers cannot hit a 60+ yard field goal. Stephen Gostkowski kicks 80 yard touchbacks multiple times a game.

However, his odds of making a field goal at that range are...abysmal.
