The idea

League is set up similar to the NFL structure (if possible)

2 Conferences w/ 4 divisions in each conference and 4 teams in each division.

if not then the format now will be fine

These teams start out with the base stadium and level one players. These leagues are locked hense the name, (no promotion or relegation) the level for the league goes up each season instead of your team changing leagues your league changes with you.

This will allow teams to acutally form rivalries and should help restore some interest in the game.

Starting Point: All teams will start out at level one, with the same player creation rules as the Pee Wee Leagues have. Teams will start out with 1.5m (or whatever the new going rate is). Stadium will start out and oppereate the same as the other leagues (except pee wee of course).
Salary Cap: This would be an awesome addition and the best time to try it out. Not a must have though.
Length: Each league will last 10 seasons, then reset back to lvl 1's with the idea of a new league being added each season up till the 9th season, so you will always have a lvl 1 league.

We cant add anything about non boosting or it will get shot down quickly by bort

This a dedicated type of league. This is for agents who want to have a team for a long time. The initial costs of a team would be 1500 flex points for 2 seasons of ownership. After the initial costs it goes back to the normal of 400 flex points for a season.

What type of league structure?

All leagues would start off at level 1 and the cap would raise each season.

Something like this:

Season 1: Level 1
Season 2: Level 14
Season 3: Level 22
Season 4: Level 28
Season 5: Level 34
Season 6: Level 40
Season 7: Level 46
Season 8: Level 52
Season 9: Level 58
Season 10: Level 64

After season 10, the cap would go back down to level 1 and all players on all teams would become free agents.\

What happens if someone sells?

This will happen and there is no ways around it. It’s a problem in GLB as a whole and there is no way to control it. What the owner could do is offer the team to one of his players or coaches?

If that can’t happen then you’d go to the waiting list and have them take over the team in the off-season. The stadium and finances would stay the same so they could recruit a team.

But new owners would have to realize that they’d be jumping a league of competitiveness. You’ll have to recruit to compete. If the league is at season a level 58 capped, then think twice about it before you join.

Summary:

So in short it’s a league for those of us who don’t have any care of going to the pro league. It’s a league for community. For dedicated people who are trying to beat there rivals every season. It keeps the competitiveness in, and gets rid of the movement.

It shouldn’t take long to code this as that is what we’ve been really stressing in the game. We didn’t want Bort and company to have to change anything. Basically create a league with no pyramid and have a waiting list for the league #s.

I'd love it, and it's the first thing I've read in a while that would actually make me want to buy some Flex to be a part of it.

Exactly. I miss those rivalry games and the message boards from it. There is too much movement now that it kind of makes it lose its interest. I come on here to have fun and don't care about getting the almight WL. Just want to beat the crap out of friends, not some new random people every other season.

Maybe even an option of being promoted instead of automatically being promoted.

I think something like this is on the NGHL

But, it would be cool, I would say charge more then a regular team, 1500 credits, since not everyone can get in.

We're not asking you to change the way you play. I'd bet 25% of the people on GLB would be doing this type of league.
