Looks like we've got 3 alternates. Are you considering signing > 16 teams? If so, we need to recruit some more people for the tournamnent, b/c 19 doesn't make a very pretty bracket.

If not, is there any word on brackets for this tournament coming out?

Maybe 24, 12 on each side. Not sure if that would work or not...

Probably the best way to handle any bracket is to add enough byes to fill it out to the next higher power of 2. The highest seeded teams all get a first game bye, nobody gets a bye in the second round.

The issue with 19 teams is that basically 6 teams would have to play-in to fill out the last 3 slots of a 16-team bracket. With so few teams being forced to play in, the seeding could become a major source of complaint.

I guess the first 13 teams to sign up could get the byes, and then the last 6 would have to fight it out for a spot in the second round.

Anyway, I'm just trying to plot out my team's busy tournament schedule and wanted to get an idea of who we'd be facing in this tourney.

Yeah we can get 32 teams to sign up we'll be good to go. I'll update this once I finish my coding for the survivor. What a bitch that is.
