having this for disputes seems like a waste of time.just dont get into arguments,we want people to remember that its JUST A GAME!!!!! if you ar e having fight you need to get a life.now if this group would be more instrumental in getting the customers suggestions implemented in the game itself then i can see the use of it .otherwise quit whinng about wether or not your fictional character is stuck with a bad owner or situation. well if it gets bad just make another player. thats the point of the game.you can make more players.!!!

I suspect you have never been on a team with an incompetent owner. Either that or you don't understand the game very well (XP).

People spend real money on their "fictional characters" and are rightfully upset when their player's growth is being stunted. My advice to you is to spend more time understanding this game before you form an opinion about others.

If you have no problem with your players being rotted or lied to about equipment than you are the minority.

I personally DO NOT want Bort appointing anyone anymore....and certainly not here. To me this whole thing should be a three-sided balance between Admins, Owners, and Players with all three opinions being heard. Players Association, Owners Association, and Admins with the "smack down" bat.....quite frankly if #3 is appointing positions for #1 or #2, then what is the point exactly. The only way that Bort will ever get a true feel for what the owners or players are thinking is allow those people to "think" without interference from the powers that be......just my op.

I agree that the 3 unities need to work as a cohesive unit, you can't appoint one to be higher than the other in the operation of a 'empowered body' so to speak, and as I said before, obviously the Admins would have the 'oversee' of the entire process.

has this GLBOA ever levied a fine or done anything at all to this game?

No, we don't have the power to do that. We handle all issues right now via mediation.

These people in my opinion shouldn't be allowed to make decisions involving their own teams during disbute.

I agree 100%!

I know I am way behind on this topic. But it always seem that the owner always taking the beating. I sign a player at least I can expect that player to spend his skill points as he aquires or how about an option to see the players tactics? To see if he actually playing hard, To see if he actually has them set the way the should be. The owner is completly in the dark here. Or how about the player going MIA for a month ? what than? Yes I bury them on the depth chart and the get no playtime and ne exp is that wrong? No , There is a certian expectation that the player must live up to but its always the owners fault. That is why a team with 14 plus different agents will never be able to compete with a team that only has like 5 agents.

That's the point of involving the GLBPA here as well. Having the OA & PA work together, they can approach both sides of an issue, not just 1.

Association will be nothing but a thorn also. Ran by people who want to feel self inmportant. I have been here since the beginning and have had several players playing on several teams and never needed a 3rd party to resolve any issue. Usually the person who needs the issue solved by a third party is the issue.

that's not really true at all, but in order to know that, I encourage you to get involved with each of the associations, the GLBOC & GLBPA. We have the Associations to help people within GLB, not for ourselves.

I like the idea but my main concern/worry is power trips... there needs to be some clear cut regulations/rules/philosophies that the groups go by and these regulations/rules need to be laid out for everyone to see so a player or owner can not be blindsided with a rule that 3 or 4 people decide to just create out of thin air because they don't like something.

amen! (at least to the last part

How about selecting 2 delegates from each league; preferably some of the longer lasting teams, but not solely specific to those teams that have been around since season 1...for example to be considered you have to have been an owner for at least 6 seasons; on the player side, (though if you just retired a bunch of your long in the tooth players) maybe consideration for having players at least 5 seasons old. Regarding power trips; these positions can be reshuffled every 2 seasons to prevent it from becoming an exclusive bunch. Just a thought; I'm sure it will have plenty of opposition; but a thought non the less from an owner since season 5.
