I've looked around but don't know if or where there is info on the base chances for a SA to fire. My specific question is around the interaction of lvl 3 juke piece of equipment and 10% fake chance piece.

If anyone has a link to that type of info I'd be greatfull.

i dont think there is really a set number. it should change as your attributes go up. carrying and agility probably play a large role in getting it to fire (base chance)

agility to fire, fake chance to fire, the number of points in juke to fire

vision for the power of the fake, carrying for the power of the fake but worth a little less than vision in the roll, number in juke for the power of the fake but a little less than vision and carrying

Conjecture, FTML.

I think the odds are about 15% that someone will get fired for the SA idea.

There is no "base chance" to fire. There's a lot of things involved. The only thing I can tell you is that fakes (juke, head fake, pump fake) have a 0% chance to fire without points in the appropriate SA.

Someone should use this as their next Catch 22 Question:

Does Head Fake and Juke actually have separate rolls?

Or are they basically one in the same?

And also, does having a high Head Fake score, make you more likely to activate Juke?

The people want to know.

I am positive the base chance is 7, but I am not sure out of what.

Guessing its the same as Lower the Shoulder -> Power Thru.

I vaguely remember the post by Bort explaining it, but I believe you roll first for Power Thru and if you don't pass that, you have a chance at Lower the Shoulder.

But those Power SAs all supposedly raise the bonus to breaking tackles, so they're somewhat different. Even if the SA doesn't show on the the play-by-play, those levels in Power Thru, etc. are all supposedly increasing your base break tackle roll, which from what I understand, Elusive SAs don't have.

So maybe Head Fake and Juke both raise to your base fake percentage (not sure what that would do, tbh) and then roll separately to determine which, if either, activates.

wat?

investing in power thru raises your break tackle score so that even if power thru doesn't fire (Missed tackle: Power Thru in pbp), you can still break a tackle? is that what you're saying?
