I would have to believe there is a small minority of paying customers that endorse the new Farm team rules compared to the Majority of paying customers who don't. I would have thought something like this would have been put to a poll to get a feel of what the overall consensus would be on how to go about possible changes.

There are some things I agree with and some I don't with the new rule changes. I also think this will encourage more gutting and dropping down along with a higher turnover of ownership within the game. Which if that is the case I think these new rules will long term fail.

But everyone should get their EQ though

If a player is 440 or 439 days old(can't remember which one if a player is created in the offseason) it does not count towards this right? B.c if a player is going to decline you should be able to replace them if you want no?

So, a new owner currently has no chance of reaching the WL before his players start to decline, and now, he can't even create a farm system to move more than a small amount of players in and out so that he has a chance to make it to the WL eventually. Even getting to the Pros takes serious long term planning for an owner. And that's just getting there, staying around is another issue entirely.

Scheduling out a 5-10 man rotation system over the course of multiple seasons in order to maintain competitiveness and potentially reach the WL is .

yep

That is one of the dumbest concepts I have ever heard. Every single player on my 55 man roster expects EQ... People pay for these dots. They want the to perform at the max level that they can. EQ is essential to that. So after a person develops a player for 10 seasons and pays real $$$$$ I am supposed to tell them the system never intended for them to be fully equipped?

Yes, tell them this. Like most teams who don't rely on gaming the system has to do.

I have had to tell my players that the EQ will have to wait until we build the stadium and get some revenue.

I applaud the changes because it puts people on an even footing instead of getting a deluge of cash from other sources.

you should be able to fully fund all equipment while building a stadium - it's level 56, 64 & potentially level 72 (if teams are buying that) that are the issue - if you can't afford any of the equipment level 48 & below you aren't managing your money correctly

ETA: and the other ~10 players are all season 1 guys. lol

Don't worry, if they start killing merged teams, then you are screwed.

You know, the main reason Catch wanted to come up with some sort of rule now is not to punish teams who are doing things in good faith, but to address some of the things that a small but growing number of people have been doing. To be honest, probably 99% of teams out there are acting in good faith and within the spirit of the game. I don't really care if your brother's 4 players are going to move to your team in a while, or if half your team is retiring and you're going to replace them. Go for it. Have fun.

We really just need some sort of set rules that are out there to deal with certain types of folks who are obviously not acting it good faith or within the spirit of fair play. You ALL know who they are, and what they are doing, and we really just want to send a message that some of them are taking it to ridiculous levels and we want it to stop. We are in the process of attempting to work out a system that will work better for all in the long run, but until that is finished and in place, we need to tell those people that we know what they are doing and they're going to be getting a fine for it.

So punish 99% of the teams because of the 1% abusing the system? Why not just take the teams away from the 1%?
Sounds logical.

I made a suggesstion about team cash and everyone jumped on my nuts saying 'it was part of the strategy' and 'part of the glb experience' etc etc. Cash should be done away with and we should just move to a simpler stadium building/eq buying system. Contracts can just be contracts. You can train for free. Etc etc.

I know this subject has been done to death but teams simply need more team cash or a means to earn more cash so they can equip their players. Otherwise agents will find new inventive ways to accomplish this task.

I do not think I have done anything against the new rules. I was considering a merge this offseason but I guess I can't now.

My point is no matter how many rules you put in place you are fighting a losing battle. Agents pay for their players. They all expect equipment. Team Owners have to find ways to equip their teammates or risk losing them. The simple solution is to give the owners more ways to earn team cash. Quit jacking around with this topic and solve it already.

There is absolutely ZERO reason to avoid this any longer. You do not sell more CE because eq is hard to buy. Most agents buy CE before level 20 when normal eq is easy to get.

Good deal, Bort. Just make sure the admins or judges that are dictating the changes or offenders do a better job than those who moderate these forums.

How do I tell my casual players, "sorry GLB doesn't want you in the Pros.... you just wasted 6-8 months and $100" ???

Not sure Casual leagues were developed to be your farm teams.

I can attest to that not being the case. I genuinely don't know if i'm one of the people you're talking about or not.

Sadly that minority are the agents that are considered the ELITE because well they got the money and will to plan things out like massive farm movement

Thats all I needed to hear, as long as this wasn't some long-term solution I'm fine with it. Because if it lasts longer than a season it is going to cause unintended consequences.
