I've been hearing a bit of confusion over the training system, and that its much more complicated and people don't know what to do to have the best dots.

I was thinking about doing the mathematical breakdown of what is most effective (based I guess on approximate player age / how many pieces of AEQ you wanted) so people wouldn't be confused anymore about what they are supposed to do.

I had assumed somebody had done this already, but I guess not. Would anyone want to see such a thing or has somebody already done it.

If that is true it's motivation for me to just get it out and public l0l0l

I hated his strategy guide when it came out the first time.

After doing a bit of number crunching (we obviously did some, but a few people were kind enough to point out some other potential ways to do things) it became clear that the following three things were true with the new training system:

1) There isn't enough of a penalty to training on light
2) Training gains will be too large with the new system (in upwards of 50 SP's in some instances)
3) There is no incentive to train on normal - people will either train intense or light.

The probable revision would be a reduction in the gains for intense/normal/light with a smaller reduction from intense to normal and a bigger penalty to light.

Intense = What Normal currently is (as opposed to +125% of what normal currently is) +1 bonus token
Normal = 80% of what normal currently is (as opposed to +100% of what normal currently is) +2 bonus tokens
Light = 40% of what normal currently is (as opposed to +75% of what normal currently is) +3 bonus tokens

Everything else would still apply. Training would then look like this over 20 trains with normal = +50%.

Intense = +10 Skill Points, +20 bonus tokens
Normal = +8 Skill Points, +40 bonus tokens
Light = +4 Skill Points, +60 bonus tokens

Feel free to make a counter suggestion but it should be something along those lines that helps address the three issues noted above.

Ok so there is different math to do than the math that was previously necessary, thread is still relevant though I think.
