not sure if this has ever been suggested or not(i have seen in the past people wanting a pro bowl type thing), but a thought just came to me when looking over some of my players and i was looking at awards

i guess this is similar to a pro bowl type of thing - it seems as though it could be a feasible addition to the game, but not like MVP - no other gains for your player other than maybe a trophy and being listed on the league home page

ok so when you at your players award page it has a break down of you players rank overall and then on each side of the ball and then has a break down of your players ranking at his respective position in the conference

- so say you have the #2 Conference all QB rank - your QB would then be a second team all conference player
- then say a position like WR, CB, LB, OT, G, DE, DT, etc. would be like 1 and 2 ranked would be first team 3 and 4 would be second team

again this is just a thought i had and was curious what others thought
it would just be a recognition type thing and have no added value to your player as i have listed here

what does you think, any thoughts or ideas, is this even a good idea or feasible?

I thought about this, just never suggested the idea. I like, gives players a little more recognition if your not top 3 in stats or the mvp

Same here, I though about this this morning in fact. Mostly cuz my LB is in the top 3 for his position, but there will never be record of it.

I think there needs to be recognition for individual dots.

Would be cool but probably a lot of time running those kinda things down. And if you start now I can here the older dots being represented, bitching right about......

im not sure how hard it would be, not something i would even be close to knowing about
but i do know its already tracked on a players award page - so that has to be something, right?

i was thinking about that as you often see some really good players(especially TE, FB) who do alot of very good things and may be considered the best at their respective position but never put up the stats to lead in any category, and because of that they arent really ever recognized for the effort

great addition for those positions that donīt rack up a ton of stats or have no shot at MVP

I like this idea and it shouldn't be too hard to implement as the data is already recorded. +1

what about OL?

The only stats for OL is pancakes, which really don't tell the whole story. There's no way to determine who the best pass blocker is, since sacks allowed isn't a trackable stat according to Bort. Is there a stat for opening a good hole for the back?

I like the idea for skill positions, but some positions would get left out.

The same thing is a problem for cornerbacks. If you are really covering somebody then the QB throws to the other side, which means no tackles and no passes defended.

well its not likely to be perfect - always someone who isnt happy with how it all works - no way to really make everyone happy but for a majority, they would never come close to an award otherwise
