Keep thread on topic please. I am glad to answer any and all questions but I will not hesitate to warn/suspend people for violating forum rules.

EDIT TO ADD - we are possibly discussing just limiting movement of players and seeing if that helps resolve the issue that we have been facing.

This is likely a long time coming. Tough decision to make but probably the right one.

Yeah good call. As much as I do enjoy making plays, the DPC has just created a constant moving target over the past few seasons. You make one change to the code, and it opens a new exploit.

This will allow the game to actually work on other things in the sim other than o-line/d-line interactions.

I hate this decision. Offense is still king in GLB. Aside from the 5WR formation being rendered useless, I don't see the DPC as being overpowered at all.

On Page 1 in what will be an epic thread.

I'm very disappointed in this decision, but a good DC will be able to overcome this.
It's disappointing even more that ANOTHER change is made that will benefit the offense.

The sim has evolved around the existence of the DPC. You take it away, and you're going to have to make a LOT of changes to compensate, otherwise the game is going to be completely broken.

One of the worst decision ever, and I understand it is already set in stone. I am just OCing in the game and already bored with the outcome of this.

Here are bunch of alternative options:
1) Use DPC but limit the positions of DL
2) Use DPC but limit the position of DL and LBs
3 ) Got to Staz's forum and learn how to fix the blocking issue.
4) Fix O plays, so a competent OC will be able to punish overload blitzing (making that tactics dangerous)
5) Fix extreme builds.
6) Fix the run game, so one can run against 'exploit' blitzing,

Sadly, the game, at least as far as tactics is concerned, will become nothing more than a toss of the dice once this has been done. This is a huge step backwards. I believe GLB has interpretation of complaints is flawed, that it's not the DPC that has created the issues, but the inability of players to problem solve. Logic supports my contention, because otherwise everyone would have the issues and as we know, everyone doesn't have the issues.
