can't promise anything because we've never changed or re-done team sorts in the past, but I will at least ask Bort when I speak with him next to evaluate/consider the possibility of doing a second sort or redoing using a different criteria. I would ultimately guess that we won't do anything further though because it's not something we've done in the past.

OK, now I'm really off. Happy New Year everyone.

I've proposed several plausible solutions. What have you provided other than name calling and declaring the obvious, that effective levels are a worthless metric and waiting a few more seasons for the league shuffling to be corrected is unacceptable?

DD implied that there would be no more team shufflings. You should really get on the same page with him, this is getting embarrassing.

Actually, they did promise to improve parity. What they told us was that at each age cap all the boosting teams would get put together at the Elite level and all the non-boosters would end up in the regular leagues. That way, teams of similar strength would play each other.

This is not what they have done. They have used the old promotion script which is totally inappropriate for the job. The teams have ended up all over the place with massive EL gaps in each league.

What a total shambles....

this definitely seems to be the case in the only age level where i've looked, "sophmore"--non boosting teams that had losing records last season are in "competitive" while boosted teams that made the playoffs are in the "non-competitive" leagues...

More strange, there's one conference, Sophomore #6 Zeta, that's got 11 CPU teams (they are all together rather than spread over all the conferences). Nothing like guaranteeing five teams 11 wins each.

like running thousands upon thousands of games, inspecting them, and handplacing teams in hundreds of leagues?

good solution

Not really.

5 boosters, let's say QBs = 1500 to create, 1500 per season (say 10 seasons) = 16,500 flex
250 non-boosters, let's say QBs = 75,000 flex

1 QB, 300 to create, 900 for custom eq, 32,400 for 36 boosts over the life of his career = 33,600 per QB

So really it's:

5 QB boosters = 168,000 FPs spent, 49,950 FPs gone forever
250 QB non-boosters = 75,000 FPs spent, 0 FPs gone forever

In reality 3 boosting QBs make GLB more money than 250 non-boosting QBs. That is staggering.

and in the spirit of being unbiased

you also have a few pretty massive problems with your math

All you've done here was give an example of how idiotic this place's business model was from the get go.
