It was probably made limited so people wouldn't get tired of the game, retire all their players, then donate 30k to a team and that team never have to pay for scrimmages again.

Still don't understand, how will that hurt the game, the flex for the players is still paid for... Flex should be spended however desired..

I would suspect there will always be a limit just due to the fact that there is a limit on how many games one can pour into the sim schedule. But being able to schedual and having flex to schedule shouldn't really cross paths. It would be much simpler to limit the number of games that can be scheduled in a season rather than the amount of flex a team can have in the bank.
