This is my HH CB experiment. The idea was to create a tackler to cripple weak WR upon getting the ball and creating FFum due to low carrying attributes among most WR in the game.

After a few seasons and some early success - the idea seems to be less viable as the seasons go on (mind you - the build is not optimal all the same).

So I figure I would pass on some observations.

1. If you build a HH CB - be sure to get a DC who knows what to do with it. I've had a few that liked the fact that the dot caused a few fumbles early in his career - but was never really comfortable using him in a defense package.

2. Probably not new to most CB builders - but speed is the most important attribute. Mid career I found that the dot allowed too many reception by allowing WR to create separation via speed. Str/tkl should be ok at about 68-70.

3. If you want to continue down the FFum idea - concentrate on gong ST as they are more likely to occur there. Otherwise the KL will be your stat of choice as a HH CBer.

In the meantime, if any of you have experience building such a CB and have more advice, or recommendations on what I can do - be happy to hear it.

They just need to be playing a specific CB position on the Depth Chart and it's pretty easy for the DC to get him going in certain ways.
Swap Big Hit for Monster Hit, it's better.
Need FF% AEQ
Needs more of everything, I'd suggest capping agility twice and vision once and then getting confidence to at least 40, more stamina, maybe two or 3 more points, get vision up 1-2 more points, Need to get First Step up, along with other coverage SA's.

Had AEQ in FF% but it was useless. Decided to change back to Avoid Fake. Mind you...I didnt have a 21.5% mod like that guy

The FF% is there for more KL, not so much for forcing fumbles

I disagree. In a sim that favours the run - HH CB are an ideal metagame choice. That being said, they have to be employed as a run defense component.

The ideal situation is to punch a blocking WR in the face and tackle the HB/FB/QB for a loss or very little gain. The other strong point is to force turnovers on ST.

Right now they are a very viable build to use if your DC knows what he's doing.

As my dot's name implies, he was intended to be a blitzer, but I don't think he has ever blitzed once in his career. He is, however, a tackling machine and a PD machine as well.

Pretty sure Packers is just talking out of his ass with no idea of what a HH CB is capable of or what the build even looks like.

Jack CBs (like Kent Paul) is useless too. I'm the owner,DC,OC,CFO,ST, and the only recruiter for my team and just so happens, my squad does nothing but win championships. I don't recruit Jacks,Zones, STs and especially HHs

But if I scout a team that has them, then the will be singled out and exploited. So ya, I think a know lil something about builds, especially DBs
