There's a $600 signup fee to go towards getting Flames54 all his FP money back.

The effects of vision aren't seen early on in a lot of builds, in my opinion. I wouldn't say it sucks, but there are definitely other attributes/abilities that you will see immediate results/stats with.

And also, there's more than one way to make a great build. Flames has found a couple of those ways, he's got great backs. But I'm still amazed by how many people, some people posting in this thread, that think there is one secret or one way to do things. GLB is much more broad than that.

ideally it should work that way but show me a back that is pumped up in vision, confidence or carrying and lots of SA's with comparable stats. these players are in the highest league, one dimensional players shouldnt thrive, they should be weeded out and left on the curb for pick up.

I could show you a few...but I'm not into sharing builds like Flames hehe. I do agree though, one dimensional players shouldn't thrive. I think Bort is making some changes for season 4.

I know a team that every player comes from one guy. Must be a pretty active team forum

All I know is that some of Flames' players (including that WR from a few days ago) have been copied to the test server to see how good they really are within the season 4 formulas. I have Tea Baggins and some other dudes on there too.

Acceleration and cuts have been changed a bit, and super pumped primary attributes can no longer make up for super low support attributes quite so much as they can now. I'll do a big post when we're closer to season end outlining all the changes, updates, and new features (like tactics) for S4.

I'm actually glad certain player builds get brought up from time to time as possibly unbalanced - it's literally impossible to test every single combination without help from the player base.

As I posted in the WR thread, I think a big reason why builds like this are successful is that Bort made a lot of attributes work decently well when low to make the game playable at low levels. If a lvl 4 WR couldn't catch anything with Catching 20, the game isn't a lot of fun.

The problem then arises that when dealing with a stat that is actively used against other players on every play (like speed), it makes a huge difference when it is unbalanced compared to a stat like catching or vision that has to work at low levels for the game ever to be playable.

This is a valid point. Taking it a step further, the difference between Speed at lower levels and Speed at mid levels is enormous. I would guess that at 40 speed you run twice as fast as you do at 20 speed. But it seems that you don't catch twice as many balls at 40 catching as you do at 20 catching (because, as you said, 20 catching has to at least work reasonably well). So when looking at match-ups, you have tremendous disparities in speed ratings, and that leads to guys running down the field and getting open on every play. It would be like having a player who runs a 6.5 40 covering a guy who runs a 4.3.

In a footrace, it would take a fast receiver (4.3 40 time) almost 3.4 seconds and 32 yards to get 2 yards of separation from a slow CB (4.7). That's not a big window to throw a 30 yard strike. That's where jumping, route-running, agility, catching, and vision would come in (in real life, not in the game).

I really doubt his goals are that narrow minded...

Even if stuff does get changed, all he has to do is just putting SP in everything else and catch up with others while others are trying to catch up to his speed.
