Right now this website is just a breeding ground for carpal tunnel syndrome. You either have to have 6 tabs open or make 5 clicks to get anything done from one part of the site into another. This would help I think

I usually have 6 tabs open. I like this idea much better

This would certainly improve navigation. Less page hits on the site due to improved navigation might improve the speed of the web server. Although probably miniscule, it's just another way to optimize things.
