I agree with TxSteve -- it's rare you get a chance to do the right thing like this. I guess you can't force a team to do it, but I'd like to think I'd accept a rematch in the same situation.





It's more then that, it's a question of who's running things here.

Forget our game for a second, are we really saying that in case case of obvoius glitches we're going to let the team that benefited decide on the solution?? If anything, this thread has proven that honor and decency cannot be counted on in spots like this, and even those owners that would grant Bort's requests would be the exception.

Bort needs to step in and force resims in situations like these. Consider this game grandfathered, but for the future, Absolute Admin Control is something to think about.

The shitty thing is that he did provide proof of what appears to be malicious changes being made to our settings. We just have no idea who/what/how/why/etc.

It is comforting, for where I'm sitting, that hopefully we'll be the last team to be attacked like this (Hey Bort, call this the "Trout Rule" or something eh?), but there's little that, for the time being, will cool the anger at having something taken from you unjustly.

Actually it ended up pretty much as I predicted. There's evidence of malicious changes being made to our settings JUST before the game and not a damn thing is done about it.

Not to revive a thread that seems to be slowing down, but is anyone else surprised that the subs got in at all with the 1/0 setting?

Do players really hit 1 in-game energy in 70 plays or so?

On offense it looks like about half our starters played all 82 plays, the other half only played 81. I guess we've found the max number of plays you can participate before running out of "breath", and depending on stamina

As a a Trout, I'd like to see a scrimmage sim that counts for nothing but pride.

This is a very sticky situation and I think I understand everyone's emotions. Sure, we'd like to win, and it's unfortunate that we got the short end of this stick, but I'm fine with this, assuming that there's now procedures in place to make sure that this doesn't happen/can be tracked again.

Potential security concerns are not a laughing matter and I hope that in the offseason that all code is looked at very carefully to shore up any potential security leaks. I don't want another team to possibly be in our situation again.

Scrimmage is worthless at this point. Bastards lose next round anyway, and no one's going to know what could've been. Txag2k is an ass, so that's out there now. The only really positive thing is that hopefully this gets fixed, but ideally we'll never know if it is or not, unless someone posts a "Hey my hax are broken" post.
