Yeah unfortunately you have to set it that way if you want the OAI to follow everything precisely.. if you don't have that checked then you can have the first set and if it is 2nd and 5.5 it will randomly pick something. Otherwise in the 2nd set it could choose either offensive setting.

a) Yards To Go 0-5
b) Yards to Go 6-100

or

a) Yards To Go 0-5
b) Yards To Go 5-100

?

what happens in those situations if its 2nd and 5?

The two values should overlap like this:

a) Yards To Go 0-5
b) Yards To Go 5-100

the Sim will follow the input that is highest in your tactics, so in the above case it will run a play from input A.

So in the above case 5.5 yards will result in your 0-5 yards Input triggering.

If you reversed it to this:

a) Yards To Go 5-100
b) Yards To Go 0-5

Then you get input A firing on everything from 5-100 exclusively.
while input B only fires between 0-4.5 yards.

Using this sequence;

a) 5-100
b) 1-4

Means that anything on 4.5 yards will default to basic AI, as it falls between the two value ranges.

hey guys. I want to ask about the Offense AI testing.

for example If I use the defult settings and test the AI, it will show

Input Named: Backed into Own Goal
Matched Time Remaining? Yes
Matched Down? Yes
Matched Spot? No <<<<<<<<<<
Matched Yards to Go? Yes
Matched Score? Yes
Matched Special Sit? Yes
Matched My Timeouts? Yes
Matched Opp Timeouts? Yes

and most of my inputs shows the (Matched Spot) as no. what will make it turn to yes? What do I need to do.

I´ve also tryed pestface´s settings to see if I was on the right path. But I seem to have got lost on the way.

Input Named: Goal Line First
Matched Time Remaining? Yes
Matched Down? Yes
Matched Spot? No <<<<<<<<<<<<
Matched Yards to Go? Yes
Matched Score? Yes
Matched Special Sit? Yes
Matched My Timeouts? Yes
Matched Opp Timeouts? Yes

Input Named: Goal Line Second
Matched Time Remaining? Yes
Matched Down? No <<<<<<<<<<<
Matched Spot? No <<<<<<<<<<<<
Matched Yards to Go? Yes
Matched Score? Yes
Matched Special Sit? Yes
Matched My Timeouts? Yes
Matched Opp Timeouts? Yes

Input Named: Goal Line Third
Matched Time Remaining? Yes
Matched Down? No <<<<<<<<<<<<<
Matched Spot? No <<<<<<<<<<<<
Matched Yards to Go? Yes
Matched Score? Yes
Matched Special Sit? Yes
Matched My Timeouts? Yes
Matched Opp Timeouts? Yes

Is the Matched Spot (the order of the inputs)? sould they be in diffrent orders?

What am I missing? Im realy offcourse atm.

This is probably a really stupid question...But do the Outputs have to equal 100% when you're done with all of em or will this seriously screw something up?

They should, but it will add them up to 100% if they don't. But that means something that you want to have 0% in might get called.

is that how it works? i always thought the way bort did it was he took the total percentage of all outputs for 1 input, and then divided the individual percentages by that total. so if you had 4 outputs that were 10 10 0 20, then they would be 10/40 10/40 0 20/40, or 25 25 0 50.

Hmm. well I wouldn't trust it anyway. Let me take a look over my 'sources'.

If you add it up improperly, it doesn't add it up for you in the AI tester, it would have to be tested in a game.

I always thought the unaccounted percents reflected your basic settings. Not something I've tested, just an assumption.
