"Sorry, you have the maximum of 3 friendly scrimmages already scheduled. Please wait until after you play one of them, or retract one, to schedule more."

I was gonna challenge some teams, but got this message. How do some teams have more than 3?

It doesnt give me an option to pay flex

"Schedule Friendly Scrimmage
Challenge another team to a friendly scrimmage game by sending your request here. Friendlies may not be scheduled within 2 hours of an already scheduled game, must be scheduled at least 2 days in advance, and you may only schedule one per day, in order to avoid conflicts with setting tactics. You may also only schedule up to 3 friendly matches at a time.

Scheduling a friendly scrimmage costs 25 Flex Points, which will be deducted when the other team accepts your offer. You are allowed up to two free friendly scrimmages per team per season.

Once a friendly scrimmage game has been agreed to by the other party, it is LOCKED IN for the day and time you have specified.
Send Offer From Team:
Rivals Mainboard Pimps

Scrimmage Unavailable
Sorry, you have the maximum of 3 friendly scrimmages already scheduled. Please wait until after you play one of them, or retract one, to schedule more. "

That's the entire message

Yeah, I get this same error even though I've only sent 1 challenge. I have 4 total, and other people are still able to submit challenges to me.

What gives?

Yeah, puzzles me too, I issued 2 challenges and accepted another one, and now I get that message. Which would be fine, as of course I have three scrimmages scheduled.

But if that really means you can't issue or accept any challenges anymore, how the heck do the Galaxy Aces have 14 scheduled scrimmages at this point? http://goallineblitz.com/game/team.pl?team_id=673

To me that clearly contradicts the line that you can only have three scrimmages scheduled. Or is this a case of "special rules for certain teams"?

It's called working around the system...

Galaxy Aces are probably one of the most popular teams right now. Once they get a Scrimmage Challenge, they probably don't accept it right away. They let the challenges pile up. When they think they have enough, they go back and accept them all. Because in that state, the Challenges are in Pending mode already.

I am pretty sure that you can have only three challenges out that you issued. So the teams with more than three scrimmages scheduled are teams that were challenged.

Yup, and that is exactly what I have a problem with. Once they have accepted three challenges they should not be able to accept any more, just like everyone else. I am fully aware how they likely did it, I just don't think this loophole should be open. If there is a rule of "maximum three scrimmages scheduled" then that rule should apply to all teams, no matter the league or how popular or notorious they might be.

That is not how it is worded, it says three scrimmages scheduled, period. And if you were correct that would mean that teams that have not used three challenges themselves but have accepted some from other teams should still be able to issue some of their own, which is not the case.

What the hell does what the Aces are doing matter to you? They don't get any XP from the games - they're just for fun. If they're working around the rule, that's flames' choice. He's the one that's gotta gameplan for all of the games, and he's not really benefiting from them - so why even bring up his name?

It was just a team that I had noticed had a bunch of scheduled scrimmages, I am certain there are more of them out there. Comes with his craving for publicity that his team might be a bit more noticeable and is used as an example in a case like this.

It does not matter to me what the Aces specifically do or don't do, but it matters to me that once again some people seem to have found a loophole around something that restricts other teams. I would very much like to be able to have all scrimmages I might want to play scheduled and be done with the process, as I am sure others would as well. It's not possible, and even more important it is against the stated rules. If some people find workarounds to circumvent those written rules then that loophole should either be closed or the rules be changed for everyone, simple as that.

Yep.

Flames asked me the exact same question a few days ago. Now look how many scrims the Aces have

The only problem is that now that we both have 3+ scrim games set up, neither one of us can challenge each other.
