So you can jump over the D-line and get a first down with a high jumping skill?? I think the main skills are a lot more important than confidence and jumping. Maybe a 5 to one ratio

the jumping helps with the follow through of the leg AFTER the punt. The better the follow through the higher the punt and longer the hang time, reducing the punt return time and even causing more fair catches

maybe in short yard situations like goal line. How many times you seen an HB jump the pile.

they should just make jumping called "lower body strength" and strength to be "upper body strength"

it would make more sense to me

Bort said jumping does nothing for blocking. Lower body strength is critical for blocking.

So it isn't as easy as you are making it. I think "jumping" is just "jumping".


And like Bort said, Jumping is the new confidence....
