If you're not prepared to move up then why even try to make the playoffs? I say if you can stomp the competition in A then move up.

Seriously? That would be like a AAA player declining a promotion to the majors(or really any minor league player declining a promotion, if they can even do that). Yeah sure he may get beat around a little bit, but he will at least find out what he can do and learn tons of valuable things. Some people may argue that in baseball you can be promoted too quick and stunt development(and lose confidence), but that isn't the case at all in this game. Development doesn't get stunted because you're playing better teams, your team morale may go down if you lose a lot of games but that will go up at the end of the season.

There is no justifying this, it was a bitch move and now we all know what a big pussy Buxx is.

I'll admit, the behavior is odd. The team I'm on never questioned whether or not we wanted to move up. We figured out how to win in 'A'...we'll figure out how to win in 'AA'.

I just think if the guy is a coward he doesn't deserve the promotion....so it goes to someone more deserving. Meanwhile, he is thought a coward and treated as a coward. At the same time the division above has one more season to solidify and improve. If he'll get his ass handed to him now...he'll get his ass handed to him then. He won't be the only one learning more about strategy and leveling his players up.

It'll sort itself out. In the interim he'll looks at the forums and knows what you think. ...I'm not so much disagreeing with you as trying to lend a form of comfort. What he thinks he's doing will not work, and justice will be served.

If it was me, and next year he ended up 1 game away from getting promoted, I'd throw the game to purposely get him to win so he would get promoted.

If he REALLY wanted to throw the game wouldn't he punt on every possesion, we are a run first team. Also isn't the name of this game Goal Line Blitz? Horrible choice of game planning doesn't equal you purposley threw the game. Geesh people, you and your freakin witch hunts are really pathetic.

It doesn't matter if you are a run first team, you aren't a run always team.

And you should know that you aren't a run defense only team, that just does not work. Buxx knows these things, and it's not a case where he would just make a mistake.

Anybody who's played the Rams over the last season and a half knows that this dude knows better than that.

I just don't get it, why dump resources into this game if you're not trying to reach the highest level possible.

It's a waste of money to sit and deliberately lose games, especially important ones. Dude, I wish I had their disposable income, sounds like a spoiled blue blood to me.

Figuring you out in the way that you mean wasn't part of the agenda. I don't play a direct role in strategy. This is a different situation. This isn't "business" so I can just relax and be myself. Be feel free to pick a fight with me out here; that's fine too. All it'll get you is frustrated.

I would say it's because you are paying money to play a game and the point of the game is winning and getting to the top. Intentionally slowing down your progress either means that your goal isn't to reach the top (the top being Canada Pro), or that you have the money to keep dishing out 400FP a season to extend your ownership of the team - and given the fact that two thirds of the KC players are the owners' own players, and he boosts, I'm sure he has quite a lot of money.
