Hopefully Bort or a knowledgeable mod can answer this. Both SB and SDC increase a cb's ability to get a PD. My question is, how do they do this? Judging by the text, I'd say SB adds to the cb's base PD roll, and SDC adds a percentage chance to that roll (like AEQ). Is this correct, or am I totally off?

I would guess both are like the AE %, but that swat gives a slightly larger bonus (since it is an earlier SA and only does that, while SDC does more things, just not as well individually)

Read anatomy of a catch thread.
PD's are rolls made by the CB with a modifier that is affected by the WR's skills.

SB and SDC's pd abilities do pretty much the same thing (+bonus to PD roll score) though at different values. They can stack as well.

Just to be clear, this means they do the same thing as % AEQ? If so, can you give us an idea of how the base score is determined? Thanks for the reply.

Base score = based on your attributes. Let's say for argument your attributes give you a score of 50. Then your SB and SDC SAs give you a flat bonus of +10. Now your score is 60. We then do a roll off of your player vs the opponent's, higher score wins.
AEQ or a VA with "+deflect%" will give you a percentage bonus, which would take your 50 and multiply it by X%, so a +10% would give you a score of 55.
These are all made up numbers of course, but that's the general concept.

SDC boosts speed and agility
Id take that for a smaller defelection rate

Does catching go into the PD formula?

I thought SDC gave a speed and agility bonus while in Man coverage. Why would these be equal SAs when one costs more than the other?

because it helps deflect passes too

So if a Cb has a flat score of 50 and a CB has 10 swat ball, 10 SC, 20% deflect ball AEQ, long reach, 3rd down stopper, jackhammer and Clutch does he have a 120% chance of deflecting the ball multiple times then knocking it loose on the same play?
