- Every time two teams play each other, they gain "rivalry points" with each other. More for a close game and/or playoffs, none for a blowout
- Once you get enough rivalry points between two teams, they become rivals, which is denoted somewhere on the team page or standings
- When we promote teams, we can sort them by rivalry points. This will naturally keep teams who play each other closely together more often than not, and allows them to move around amongst the caps together.

This would be great.

Have you ever thought of organizing a focus group. Just your average users to take a temperature of the game where it's heading etc.

Secondly, a lot of times you listen to only the people who post in forums. You have done some "Polls". Has GLB thought of a user survey on everything from new ideas, to issues with the game that need to be fixed. There are a lot of users that play the game but don't post in the surveys.

I've thought of doing a user survey but Bort said something about "spam" laws so not sure I can.

Can post a link to a survey rather than emailing it. Still, if 3,000 people fill it out, thats a damn good sample size. I'd be willing to help as i have a lot of experience here

It's a learning process. Hasn't been done before so I'm doing the best I can. It'll get better with time and as I learn more about the inner workings of the sim and don't have to rely on Bort to answer all the sim mechanic questions.

Not in the roll to avoid pancakes. Just for when you're trying to break a block, however that might happen.

Would it still be considered SPAM if the link appeared in your inbox? Your inbox is owned by GLB. Just like getting a message from Hotmail in my inbox...

It's been suggested that player creation be revamped again so that people can choose from a pool of SA's to further customize their players and make them more unique, would you consider something like this?

Does hold block AEQ help win a pancake roll? or is it primarily used to prevent being reverse pancaked?

Actually I thought it was going well. I more meant...were these the type of questions you were hoping for?

No, but it helps you maintain speed when catching the ball.

Related question...do the rate in which the WR SAs fire depend in part on the carrying of said WR? That could explain why you see WAY less spins for a WR than a RB(even more disproportionate than the touches they have IMO).

After the catch, yes, just like a HB.

I'm currently working on (haven't finished it because I was moving) a project where we will revamp a lot of things about player development. SA's is one of the areas we are evaluating.

Nothing planned. Haven't seen a whole lot of threads re: DvG.

I am on a lot of teams most are planning on some sort of DvG, we know this VA pretty much puts power dots on their knees. I think at least one part of the VA should be nerfed the Morale hit or the big make tackle %

Doesn't help with the pancake roll directly, no. It's the counter to the break block skills of the defender.

that is a good idea -

a survey of current active players.....

still wish you could get around 'spam' laws - because i think contacting inactive players with a "What's new in GLB" letter could bring a lot of people back who just got out of the habit of coming here...
