I had a suggestion awhile back that eventually got added to the game, but taken out because it didn't work on a browser or something like that, so asking for a update here.

Any word on the Sort EQ Fund?

like an Africa forum mod (i just use that region because that is were my team is), USA forum mod and so on.

there are posts that are from season 7 and older for some reasons sticked.

and posters sometimes get way out of control. Just curious if this is talked about. I know mods/admins try to contain this but you guys already have enough stuff going on

Not sure if there will be area mods, for now if you need assistance in your forum please feel free to PM a Mod or Support directly. We can unsticky old threads and issue forum bans for inappropriate posts.

According to the Proposed Archetype List:

3) If your player is between 1-80 days old you will be forced to choose an archetype before the end of pre-season. If you do not choose one by then you will be assigned the default archetype for that position. If you would rather retire your player then choose an archetype, you can do so and receive a full (100%) refund.
---

The mandatory election age will create a major dot dividing line. For many positions, dots that are not forced to select an archetype will be far superior to dots forced to select one - Center is the obvious example. Under the present proposal, a Center who is 81 days old when the archetype system goes live will become much, much better down the line than a Center who was 80 days old when the axe fell. For many positions, these players will be forced to retire, or suffer a career of being dominated by players just a few days older.

Assuming that the archetype system goes into effect between seasons 14 and 15, the current 80 day cutoff will correspond with another major GLB event: the new player roller. Players created on the first day of the new roller will be 79 or 80 days old and thus forced to select an archetype.

I understand that a line needs to be drawn somewhere, but it seems that the 80-day line will present a much larger number of players with this choice than is necessary. I would imagine a huge number of players were created on the first day of the new roller, and thus a disproportionate number of players will be forced into retirement. If the cutoff fell in the middle of a season, say 100 days or 60 days old, far fewer players would be forced into retirement.

Choosing a mid-season cutoff point rather than a cutoff point that places a large number of players right at the line would cause far less brain-damage than the current proposal.

think you forgot to include your actual question: Why is the Mandatory Archetype Selection Cutoff 80 Days Old?

The one I'd like answered most:

Issue three- Lack of measurable statistics. So at this point your paying a small fortune for a guy whose games aren't close. So what's an agent to do? Look at stats to try and have some sort of happy meaning from this game. Each position needs a ton of measurable stats and analysis. O-line- how many sacks does he give up? How many times does his defender get around him? How many penalties does he draw? What are the RBs yards like when run in that O-linemen's direction? How many times does he push his defender backwards? Yards per run/yards per pass averages when the O-linemen is in the game and when he is out. These are just baseline things, but it would give us something more to have fun with and adjust our guys to in the game rather than watching a sim in 5 minutes and waiting for 48 hours to watch another 5 minute sim.

Question: Will something like this ever happen? If so, when?

Day 80 was what Bort and I decided was the most arbitrary cutoff date and easiest to work with in terms of simplicity. Players are still young enough to where they can retire/start over without having lost a lot of time and if they choose to not play, forcing them to choose an archetype balances them somewhat with players that are older/younger then them.

Bc of the natural level gains the centers/og's/dt's get. It would throw the balance off too much.

Yes, eventually some regional forum mods will likely be added.

In the meantime, feel free to PM any full mod about old stickies. I've run into that issue plenty in the past, I know it's annoying.

I don't see the question -

are you asking : "what is the time table for expanding new tracked stats (a la' the epic suggestion)?

I've seen that Bort and the developers are trying to implement some of the features that are now being done by Scripts written by the user community.

Would it be possible that the Testers let us know when they look at the results, etc. if they have a problem with "user" scripts that they may have loaded on their systems?

I think he means more to the affect of "Why not make everyone choose an archetype"

Yes, that is there to avoid an OPC. An OPC would let you make new plays between games for just your team, that project is new plays for everyone.
