I think it would be hard to make a categorical statement about it. Depends on your player, his position, his place on the depth chart, your team's stamina settings, your individual tactics, and many other things as well. I train my P and a lot of my offensive players on Intense about 40% of the time (the punter 100% of the time) during the season.

Here is something you can add to your guide so it is all in one place instead of over multiple pages (regarding cost, energy and % difference between training levels):

Relaxed: Cost- $10 x level
Energy- +15 per day

Normal: Cost- $75 x level
Energy- +9 per day
Difference for Skill- 18% above Relaxed

Intense: Cost- $200 x level
Energy- +3 per day
Difference for Skill- 30% above Relaxed, 10% above Normal

So, what happens if your training focus is set to None?

You don't get any experience and you don't get any boost in any attribute, but you won't use up money either.

great stuff. vets and newbs alike should take notice, especially the last part about training high skills vs low skills.

Unless the curve starts changing drastically it looks like when you reach a certain level, you just stop receiving XP from training altogether. Interesting...

I don't know why it took me this long to realize that.....oy!

well thats not exactly true... If your sitting on the bench and you're not getting much time in the game you can train on intense because you dont play much anyways. But if you're a a starter you're gonna need the energy so you cant afford to train on intense.

I agree. For the little extra you gain, its definatly not worth spending 20X the cost of a relaxed training effort. I practice relaxed every day already as i never noticed any big difference anyways before this chart.

Plus with the high cost of upgrading equipment, you'll need to save your money up anyways. Its 10K just at level 8 to upgrade all your equipment. And i'm assuming it may be even more than that when you reach level 16...based on how everything else seems to go up at each level.
