At maximum, this would give level 32+ people an automatic 2 upgrades and still lets them spend the next season or so to upgrade the rest of the way, so maximum stat whoring wouldn't be immediate.

Plus a one time automatic shopping token bonus would be nice too. something like this based on levels:

1-8: 0 shopping tokens
9-16: 1
17-24: 2
25-32: 3
32+: 3

this of course is minus the actual training bonuses, just a couple tries at the new equipment.

there's my 2.5 cents on the matter. i didnt read this whole thread, but something like this may have already been suggested.

Why the love for 'shopping token' and 'bonus token' grants? The bonus token grant allows you to add +2 basic attribute points to a single piece of equipment. Lame.... I is still likely worse than what you had before.

I would much prefer if the basic attributes could be added to Advanced Equipment just like they are added to normal equipment. That is, it simply costs money. This makes purchasing advanced equipment immediately worthwhile for anyone whether they are a new player with a level 1 or a veteran with a level 36. Since you can only upgrade the item to your current equipment level they wont be over powered.

Bort seemed intrigued not to far back in this thread and his only question was would you be willing to lose the ability to then 'advance' the advanced equipment stats.

I know I would. Tough I don't think it would be necessary. Still takes an entire season to up ONE advanced bonus one level. Thats self limiting.

Because Bort wants you to work to have better gear. It shouldn't be easy. This thread is not about making it easier in the future it's about the fix so that higher level players don't have to wait 2 full seasons to upgrade one single piece of their advanced gear.

I don't mind waiting 4 seasons for my level to fully upgrade two pieces of advanced gear but that's just not feasable for a level 30+ player. There should be a quick fix that leaves the current system in place but gives a (small) hand up to lvl 30+ players.

This is the key point and this is why Bort should give anyone who is lvl 24 plus 16 bonus tokens and anyone lvl 32 plus 32 tokens. So it at least it only takes one season to upgrade.

Im still for that marketplace fo advanced EQ or maybe a team store of some sort so you can maybe sell your AE to a teammate for some $$ or a trading scale.

really all that is needed is some kind of bonus token or attribute refund for selling normal equipment that will allow high-level players to put some of their money spent earlier on normal equipment into their new advanced stuff so that they aren't going to be retired before they can get their stuff upgraded to their character's level

i think somewhere around a 50% refund would be good because obviously allowing a level 32 player to just add +4 to advanced equipment right away would not be balanced at all, but if they can add +2 the equipment should be able to catch up to their player level in a reasonable amount of time

Hmm...what if you could "merge" like 50% of your existing item into an advanced? ex:

You have a basic shirt with +4 speed.
You buy a +2 speed, +1 SA advanced shirt.
You merge your basic into your advanced item, and now have a +4 speed, +1 SA item.

Could cost bonus tokens to keep it from being a loophole where you'd be able to upgrade all adv items super fast.

I guess that's kind of the "crafting" idea from earlier.

this is the best idea for advanced EQ for older players... as long as merging the two pieces isn't as expensive as buying a new piece... as an older player... I spent alot of money buying the level 32 equipment for my players... and with the advanced EQ basically being better... now I'm screwed... not cool.

That works, I just want to see something happen this off season or we are going to have to wait for another whole season.

PLEASE do something to balance the adv. equip for the vet players.

yeah i find this a bit surprising, it really seemed like this was an issue that bort wanted to get resolved and that he was just weighing the options to decide the best route to take, but now it seems like he has completely forgotten about it with all the other things on his plate

It would also be nice if you could generate eq you could actually use. I would guess that close to 80% of the stuff generated is for a player on the other side of the ball or has an SA that has nothing to do with you. i.e. diving catch for my guard. I spent most of last season shopping for my 6 guys and found only one really beneficial piece of eq that I actually bought. Not all the eq has to be solely for the position of the person shopping and it doesn't all have to be great, but it would be nice if the percentages shifted that way a bit more.

Are we going to get anything done on this or did it get put on the back burner?

Please forgive me if i'm wrong but is this thread asking for the advanced wqiupment to be better 0_o.

Nearly all of my "old" players have a piece of equipment that is far better than a +5 or +6 equipment.
