My DE with 10+ in FS, TV and Shed, along with 74+ Strength, Speed and Agility (before EQ)...

.... has 1 hurry in 3 games. 0 sacks.

I'm thinking it's still broken at high levels.....

If 74 is your benchmark for a "high" stat at the pro level, then I think I found your problem.

What about 90+ speed, 105+ agility, 10 FS, 9 Shed and 11 TV? What more do I need? 100+ speed? Don't worry I'm working on that on my other DE.

Nah, you just are facing good OTs. I mean, yea you should get some sacks for sure...but when you face really well built OTs you can't expect to dominate. But I do agree you should get some more sacks then DEs do and the blocking angles still need a lot of tweaking done.

So what you're saying is their no way to build a GREAT DE but it's pretty damn easy to build a great OT that shutdowns DEs.

Easy to build an OT that could shutdown your DE, no, easier to build a great OT then a great DE...definitely. Which is why the scale is still tipping in the OT's favor. Which is a reason why Bort needs to tweak blocking angles because they are very broken.

Seems like the top DEs are getting decent pressure, and they now dominate over-matched competition (which is a welcome change).

I'll find out in my first game, go against a level 49 OT.

Look on the bright side, Voltron, you don't have to go up against my OT Tarik Glenn.

Note: My statement only applies to "Top DEs"...marginal guys will still struggle

His build is just ok at this point. He suffers from being a S1 player. I'd be watching Aoshi

Once the regular season games start I will start putting some large data samples together.

My preseason sampling shows marginal improvement over last season but still only in the 4% range of pass attempts resulting in sacks. Last season I was tracking ~3.5% over a large sample of games. I do not put much importance on the preseason numbers as many teams experiment or set base game plans. A lot of the improvement in my preseason numbers seem to be attributed to a few outlier games.

I expect we are still far under the 6.5% goal.

Kinda silly we have to stay in this thread with this title when they're clearly still broken at a higher level....

USA Pro was 4.3% for last week....
