Which Julius Peppers? The one that's a beast for the short time that he's healthy? Or the one that's hurt and ends his season on IR?

Either one would completely dismantle a bodybuilder. They'd be in the backfield in half a second even if one of their arms was broken.

My DE with 10+ in FS, TV and Shed, along with 74+ Strength, Speed and Agility (before EQ)...

.... has 1 hurry in 3 games. 0 sacks.

I'm thinking it's still broken at high levels.....

You're in USAPro, you shouldnt get 10 sacks per game.

Yes, because that's what I was implying I should be getting.

No, I think you're playing even competition. You will have great games this season.

Yea, a lot of DEs in USA Pro are struggling this season although USA Pro OTs are the best of the best.

My OT's are both in SEAPL and nobody is getting past them.

vice versa, our good DE's aren't creating a whole lot of pressure.

They are fast as all get-up, but they aren't really getting to the QB.

This thread fails, but I can't help replying

Yep, Pro League DEs still aren't there yet. Blocking Angles still need tweaking especially.

I agree I'm playing equal competition, and don't want to take anything away from the OT's - their builds are fantastic, and they shouldn't suddenly be giving up 5 sacks a game.

However, an equal OT versus an equal DE should lead to more than 1 hurry in 3 games, should it not?

Just checking the numbers here, there's one gutted team in USAP, so I excluded that game... from the other 15:

Ketchikan Kamper Adventure Rentals vs. South Otto Fragile Porcelain Mice: 1 sack on 88 attempts. (1.13%)
Minnesota Marauders vs. Over The Rhine Red Dots: 3 sacks on 82 attempts. (3.65%)
Honolulu Hurricane Warriors vs. Cleveland Buckeyes: 2 sacks on 69 (2.89%)
Texas Roughnecks vs. New Jersey Blaze: 3 sacks on 94 attempts (3.19%)
San Diego Demolition vs. Washington Slashers: 1 sack on 81 attempts (1.23%)
Parma Burglars vs. Richey Royals: 10 sacks on 81 attempts (12.34%)*****
West Scranton Invaders vs. Alpine Golfers: 3 sacks on 79 attempts (3.79%)
Monmouth Evil Monkeys vs. Indianapolis Gurupies: 6 sacks on 87 attempts (6.89%)
Chicago Hedgehogs vs. Columbus Woodys: 3 sacks on 101 attempts (2.97%)
Dread City Diabolicals vs. Carolina Hammer: 5 sacks on 90 attempts (5.55%)
Washington Wolfpack vs. Cincinnati Shockers 5 sacks on 62 attempts (8.06%)
San Diego Lightning vs. ***Official*** Footballguys: 2 sacks on 67 attempts (2.98%)
NY-CA Ground Pounders vs. Detroit Demon Lions: 6 sacks on 110 attempts (5.45%)
Compton Vikings vs. Washington Bullets: 6 sacks on 85 attempts (7.05%)
Nashville Hounds vs. Northwest Arkansas Naturals: 2 sacks on 80 attempts (2.5%)

... the Parma game was obviously a huge outlier, but even including it, you're looking at:

57 sacks on 1256 attempts = 4.53%

... ain't that exactly what we were at last season?

Because OTs added Agility and speed. There's really no honest way to beat a OT. That's why mine hasn't given up a sack since like season 4 or 5.

BTW, if we exclude the Parma game for being an outlier, it's sitting at a paltry 47 sacks on 1175 for 4%.

... I also just realized that I didn't include the sacks as another passing attempt, which I don't think the sim does?

... so the numbers are even lower. 57 sacks on 1313... 4.34%

Yeah, it's still broken at high levels.

I've noticed . They're just plain overpowered.... it's scary to think how dominating they'd be if they had speed as a natural instead of tackling.
