Just to keep this going -

OTs should need just as much speed to do their job at blocking as they need throwing and punting.

OTs (all lineman I believe) get 0 auto-points when they level up in speed. Speed SHOULD NOT COME into the blocking factor for any lineman.

If speed is going to be needed for a lineman, the mechanics of the auto-points given at leveling up need to be changed and given back to lineman to distribute.

As for those saying build a better tackle - a 70 speed OT sounds absolutely ridiculous. I do believe a vote was made to try and mimic "realism" and a 70 speed OT doesn't sound like a realistic lineman to me.

Whoa this sounds like 5 seasons ago.

LOL a 70 speed OT? Are you joking? In Pro Leagues, you don't need more than 61 speed on an OT. And are you retarded? OTs IRL need good speed to do their job because they have to be able to keep speed rushers from running around them, that takes a lot of speed, acceleration and agility.

the DE/OT balance is such a fine line.
maybe this season it has skewed slightly in the DE favour ... whatever ... they deserve their time ...
(I have a DE and an OT - so whatever !)

It's not skewed near the DE's favor.

Build your OT like a WR, the more powerful DEs will push you around on running plays. Build your OT like a Guard, get run around by speedy DEs on passing plays.

Choices are good things.

Yes, and the solution is obviously to ask Bort to just artificially limit the DEs to 20 sacks a season, regardless of a DE's build.

No I'm not retarded, but thanks for asking.

Still didn't address why you should need ANY speed if it auto-levels at the same rate as punting. If I remeber back in season 1 or so someone asked why tackle was auto-leveling for lineman and the response was there was no place else to put the points that would matter for those positions (and some half-cocked theory that it actually helped you stop someone from tackling).

It's closer to the middle but it's still in the OL's favor. Good DEs can do well against lesser OTs but won't do much vs. OTs that match up to them. It needs some more tweaking, especially blocking angles, but it is getting there.

Just wanted to make sure, that's good to hear. And do I really need to address that? Ignore the auto level ups and think logically and realistically, it's not too hard to figure out.

Oh my dear Holy Fricking Mother of all Gods.
When will the whining end?

When?
When?
When?

FIX your freaking build you absolute mindless, drivelling, whining baby.

What is the point of having choices and being able to build if everyone who's choices don't work against every type of player fail and they instantly whine about it?
