I read nothing but this quote, and yeah, DC's do not create the retarded HB coverage. You're a fucking moron if you don't think there's a bug with LB's and HB coverage.

How many LBs can cover a Scat back in any level of football?

this statement alone shows your intelligence level. try it out for yourself then and see what the results are

Come on guys, don't be stupid...all you have to do is put a CB on the HB and TE every play.

When 110+ speed LB's can't cover a HB out of the backfield even when they're already on the same side the HB is coming from, then yeah, that's not right.

This is a sim, LB's with same speed as HB's happens.....fuck, if they can't tackle, then at least let them cover....amiwrong?

nope not wrong...but SS and CB are more effective since they do not take the false step forward.

If I, as the defensive coordinator, tell an LB that his job is to cover the HB out of the backfield on an obvious passing down, I expect him to not even THINK about blitzing, but rather move laterally whichever direction it appears he is going, and adjust as necessary on counter movement, I would BENCH HIS ASS IN A SECOND if he started towards the LOS unless there was play action....

nb4"Pass focus"....that way the LB can be completely and utterly useless on any rushing play.

Also, I suggested a setting in the DPC where LB's would instantly go into coverage rather than standing around with their thumb in their ass (on the test server). Bort didn't seem interested.

It's obvious that a CB will cover better, but since LB's and CB's are built about identical (like 90% of the time on successful Pro level), then it's an issue. If I put a CB and LB in the same spot on the field, with the same exact build, the LB will struggle to get there, where as the CB will be there the whole time.....there's a definite issue with this.

I'd like to see stunts or line slants first.

LBs and safties should have read "drops" before they make the actual read of the play.

I'd love those.

But again, it is something else the Bort didn't really seem that interested in.

This would be the fatal flaw to not-live playcalling on a football sim.

This would also be the fatal flaw Bort has to overcome if he ever wants to see this sim get to Season 20....

Honestly, I think the main problem is that LB's take anywhere from 5 to 10 ticks to read a play, while HB's and TE's have already covered approximately 15 yards in that amount of time.

Does your Vision LB make a difference in reads or avoiding getting pancake by lineman with his low Strength?
