Also, some people put points into SAs that they might have put into attributes if they had expected to have their AEQ boost SAs as well. That said, it's a necessary change and we just have to suck it up.

I agree, but for PP to say that nobody would be affected is just naiive.

Bort will have to program that ability. You can't do it yet

If you are going to change SA's do t the fuck now, not after you force us into new gear, and then fuck us over again.

Well, since you asked so nicely, I'm sure Catch and Bort will do backflips to accommodate your request.

whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa...Where did I ever say nobody would be affected?! The furthest I've went is to say that it isn't a build killer like some are painting it out to be. I mean, we're really only talking about needing to swap out 1 piece of AEQ (having 2 stacking is still a very viable option). Now, I have said it sucks 4-5 times in this thread, but I NEVER said no one would be affected...I just don't buy the, "OMG, the sky is falling, I'm retiring all my old dots, we're all going to die and GLB is ruined forever!" That's way over the top, IMO

How are they hit soooooooooooooo hard? They swap out 2 pieces of AEQ at no cost to themselves at all. This just doesn't make sense.

most positions especially on defense will have no problems with switching. like you said they can still wear 2 pieces.

O linemen get hit the most imo

No way. Olineman get affected the least IMO. Hb's get it the worst.

I know this may hurt your rage hardon, but yes, they have said that they will be rebalancing SAs to be more worthwhile.

will we have the equivalent of all the SP invested in our SAs returned/reset?

cuz Ive spent the past couple years not investing in the ones that suck.

once the ones that used to suck, dont suck any more, will I get a refund of SP?

tbh, Im getting a little sick and tired of investing my time, effort and cash on getting my dots to be effective... only to have the goalposts be moved every season.

no wait, a little sick and tired is an understatement.

people are leaving this game in droves.

much of it has to do with this constant state of shifting sands.

While I think the change is for the better of the game, I can understand why some people would be upset with the change if they have alot invested into a player that was counting on stacking those pieces. For instance, if someone intentionally capped strength higher and gave up some blocking on a lineman because they had three pieces of Hold Block %.

Giving them shopping tokens and money back for the EQ is not exactly going to fix things.

Again, not arguing against the change, I am just saying there should be more understanding of why someone could be upset.

Why didn't you bitch about it when you had two of the only backs in the game with 40%+each of break tackle or fake %???

I thought a testers job was to bring these issues to Bort before they become rampant around GLB, not 4 seasons after

Because I didn't know they had it obv, most of Hali's HB's have kept their builds closed to everyone for the past 4 seasons lol

So you would prefer SAs remain shitty so that you won't feel cheated because you didn't spend any points in them, got it.

So you need catch to bail your shitty build out for investing too much in shitty va's. Gl balancing sa's, there is a reason bort turned them down. If snarl/monster hit/big hit all worked like we all thought they should, fumbles would be up 200%, and if smooth operator worked and wr's actually got affected by it imagine how much shittier the passing game would be without 46% pass quality.

Catch has no idea the nerfing bort has done to things to get the sim where it is, taking away stacked %'s, and then buffing shitty sa's is going to completely throw the sim out of whack. I think when catch presents that list to bort, it is going to be met with heavy skepticism by the fat man with a yellow balloon.

So he wants shitty SAs to remain shitty because he doesn't want to feel cheated, and you want shitty SAs to remain shitty to.. what, punish people who spent points in them?

I just want to make sure I know where everyone stands on this.

And I know it is difficult for you of all people to understand, dbride, but just because someone can recognize something is shitty and broken doesn't mean they're trying to push their own agenda. My players will be fine without any changes to SAs as they stand, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't be fixed.
