Thank any deity you believe in that you will never know the frustration of being someone like me trying to explain any concept to someone like you. Team ratings are not a perfect measurement of team quality by any means, but they are decent because they take in the totality of results. Individual games, however, are not great indicators because there is so much variance within a tiny sample. For instance, if someone flipped a coin three times and it came up heads all three then they might conclude that the odds greatly favor heads. Flipping twenty times, however, is much more likely to produce a result close to the actual percentages. Miami's ranking was second worst among WL playoff teams because that took into account your full (thoroughly mediocre) season. Again, you were the 8th seed in a conference where maybe one or two teams at absolute most could have made the playoffs in the other conference. That means you shouldn't be bragging about making the conference championship game, which is what started this whole nonsense.

I know you haven't been up here long enough to notice, but most WL teams don't do a lot of ranked scrims and the ones that do are often hurt by them since Pro teams like yours try to sneak-scrim just to improve their ranking.

sneak scrim? #1 I leave my team open to ranked scrims 100% of the time. #2 when me or someone on my team wants to see some scrims, I schedule like 3-5, normally against the highest ranked that are available. If the ranked checkbox is there I check it, cuz why not, and if its not I don't.

To leave your team set up to accept quickscrims, then complain when other owners pay for you to have quickscrims, is a bit backwards wouldn't you say jd?

I'm not upset by you sneak-scrimming, as I usually win anyway, which I did against Chicago. But you tried to pretend that ranked scrims are where good WL teams get a high team ranking from, which is generally not the case. Odessa had only one non-tournament ranked scrim, while MPHD had none at all. Beating Pro teams doesn't add much to your team rating score. It's winning against good WL teams that boosts it.

I'm saying that ranked scrims effect it, which is true. If you weren't worried about including ranked scrims you'd just look at WL w/l record, idk why on earth you are bringing up team ranking which exactly include scrims, if you think scrims are lol, to argue what teams are good or bad...
