I'm not confident at all that anything will be ironed out before the season starts. We're well into the offseason and just had a sim where no penalties were called (part of the "upgrade" was supposed to be the inclusion of penalties), and neither club moved the football worth a crap (another promised upgrade was more realistic performances in the passing and running games).

All the sim games in the world won't find all the bugs. That's why this forum is always so active. But it'll get the most egregious ones out of the way.
The game isn't going to be bug free until they have close enough to a working model to stop making major changes and shift it to minor tweaks every now and then, which is probably several seasons away yet.
Football has a ton of variables, and trying to make a mmorg with so many different builds and game plans account for all the possibilities is daunting, to say the least.

Larry, I'm very much with you on the offense; but lots of people are complaining about all the broken tackles. I think our view "won" in that area, at least in terms of an overall improved running game, and we should be happy for it.

The passing game may still be broken due to the sudden increase in drops. That part remains to be seen.

As far as penalties, I'd far rather see too few than too many. Penalties were called today; it's not like they were left out of the game.

What he said. If someone was going to error on one side, I would say it should be more missed tackles and fewer penalties. We actually had a decent running game (4 ypc) against a very good DL. Last season, we would have had 18 carries for 35 yards. This year we had 29 for 117. It was nice to see 15-tackling opposing corners set to wrap-up whiff against level 25 running backs.

Everything was Fine in our games, with penalty's and tackling, there were a few more missed tackles than last season but thats the way it was supposed to be. Wr's were fine as we put in all the wr1 wr2 wr3 ect... inputs during the offseason. Vision seemed to play more in the game than last season as expected as well, Hence the Penalties.

You know the MOST worrying thing.

NO-ONE HAS A CLUE WHAT IS DOING WHAT!!

Is it tackling, is it power, is it strength, is it agility, is it vision, is it your AI settings?? Where are the defacto OFFICIAL answers as to what's causing it?? It's no good just posting 'fixed' at random intervals - what the hell has been fixed????

It's f**king random, so how the hell is anyone supposed to game plan, build a player, etc??

Seriously - with lvl 15 or above players, you might only get 25 points to throw at your guy ALL SEASON (that's including the 15 if you decide to spend REAL money, plus a couple of levels at best) - so where do those points now need to go??

In confidence to prevent penalties??

Agilty to make the most of speed??

Tackling to avoid missing anything and everything that runs at you??

Strength to help break tackles - or is that carrying - or is it some random SA??

I'm sure it'll all settle down eventually, but the big losers will actually be those with established players who've actually probably spent the most on this game, as their builds may well just end up being next to useless - and the longer this goes on, the more I think people will just decide to cut their losses and either retire complete teams of players and start again (another form of gutting, but one that's being forced upon them by the constant changes) or just leave the game..........

Seriously - this was all supposed to be sorted as of last night - quite obviously it wasn't.............
