Strange combos?? So that excuses a whole raft of running plays where the RB breaks tackles from virtually the entire defense before running the entire length of he field??

Whilst I obviously bow down to your coding skills and you ability to bring this game to life, surely to God a play like the one quoted above would have been enough to sound some sort of alarm bells??

If this is 'as intended' then someone needs to make an announcement to tell owners and players that their tackling skills are now completely shit and need working on, otherwise you're going to have a huge chunk of your paying public who are going to get bored with this unrealistic stuff happening at random intervals for no obvious good reason .........

Did I miss the bit about it being a beta??

wow totally harsh and uncalled for. fair enough the numbers are not realistic enough for your liking but hey, its only a preseason game guys

I do remember somewhere he was talking about making wrap-up tackling less effective. Seems like alot of people didn't take that seriously.

Not to pile on, but this wasn't mentioned yet.

I had my AI set to run a base 4-3. In the 2nd quarter overrides, I added some 3-4 looks just to get a feel for the new toy. I got that look a lot sooner than expected. We opened the game in a 3-4 and seem to have played more 3-4 than 4-3 throughout the game.

When an RB can consistantly break through/around 8 players (some of them twice!) half of which have 35-40 tackling, wrap up AND some with tackle assisting SA's, that's a little more than agents "not taking it seriously".

It was wrong before (ie nigh on every tackle worked), now it's wrong the other way with less than 50% even with "reasonable" skills.

I definitely don't think this the tackling changes are working as intended now, indeed. 48 broken tackles in a game should never happen, regardless of tackling setting. There's lots of cases where defenders with bigger tackling/strength numbers got a fair few missed tackles as well, so this hopefully will be one of the fixes.
