If a lot of the SAs are just modifiers of attributes, or modifiers on how often the ability kicks into affect on a play at any rate, there's no reason why any number in a particular SA shouldn't work better than the one before it. That's assuming SAs are indeed implemented that way, of course.

Also, Bort just confirmed that it works fine

not really. Think about it.

natural 10 + 1 custom, + 1 for each equipment slot.

Yeah they'd be pretty good, but not a huge ton better than 11 really, based on the way that most of them work. Yes it would take a while to get something to lv 15, not to mention all the SP's you have to spend to get to lv 10 naturally!

Yeah they'd be pretty good, but not a huge ton better than 11 really, based on the way that most of them work. Yes it would take a while to get something to lv 15, not to mention all the SP's you have to spend to get to lv 10 naturally!


But there is a difference between 11 and 15? Or 11 and 10 for that matter? Sorry if I missed it, but I never saw you confirm.

Interesting. Kind of diminishing returns, logarithmic scale or whatever? Going from 9 to 10 gives more than going from 10 to 11?

Well why is it that we can't have some information as to the relationship of spent SA points? I mean, we don't need to know the exact formula, but people are assuming that if you have to spend 3 pts at a low level but 6 points at a high level, that that high level has some use rather than an infintesimally small gain.

I think a lot of people would appreciate if you said 1 SA is "x" mystery boost, and 2 is 1.1x or 1.5x or at least some general clue that we aren't going from 1.0x to 1.5x to 2.0x and then 2.1x and 2.2x after that level or what not.

Like take Speed for example. We don't know the code for the game, but if I go from 30 to 31 speed, I know i'm growing it by 1/30 for a cost of 1 and if i'm at 50 i'm increasing at a 1/50 rate for cost of 1, or at 60 to 61 i'm increasing 1/60 for a cost of 2. So we can make theoretical judgements as to what that means, but we have no reference points of any kind with everything in the SA bar. For attributes we have 2 things, we have numbers and ratios we can conceptualize, but we have neither in the SA bar. Can't you throw us a bone as to some basic info on this?

I think he's saying they'd be at portion of a ton better than eleven. Which is a difference of some sort.

Sorta; there's just some special stuff in there for stuff greater than 10 to keep things from getting horribly broken (like autofake every time or something LOL)

I checked when boosting, and the option for an 11th natural point was available to me, costing 6 skill points.. Is that a bug, or just a waste of SP?

It will just not allow you to add points. The bug would be with the display of "skill points required;" it should probably just say "maxed out" or something like that.

Could you put a max SA then? Some people will add points past 10 and waste their skill points.
