Not an SA question, but similar

Will my CB benefit from having this piece of equipment?

Catch ball chance +2%

I was wondering if that would work, but it does mention "QB RUSH" I think and not just rush.

A lot of the SAs mention specific positions.

Like "Jump Catch" It specifically mentions Wide Receivers outjumping shorter defensive backs.

All the stuff that is hush hush makes this game lame....who wants to invest points or tokens or whatever on stuff we don't even have the slightest idea if it can work.

Very valid questions. I have an LB with change direction and a DE with 'closing speed'. And most of my Oline were given change direction as an SA alternative...which makes sense to me but hey!

Most are just situation specific, so if your guy finds himself in the situation described by the SA that the natural position might find themselves in, he'll be able to use it.

If a defender gets the quick cut SA, will it give him a bonus to making quick changes in directions. I ask because the SA says in its description that it help ball carriers avoid tackles.

Quick cut/change direction both just increase the angle at which a player can make a turn while keeping momentum. Doesn't matter what they are doing.

The Blitz SA specifies the blitz action. Does that mean a DE or DT can't use it since they aren't blitzing?

Blitzing means rushing the QB when he is trying to pass, for the purposes of the sim.

The protect SA says you must be in the LT spot. Does that mean a center can't benefit from that piece of equipment. If so, why offer it to him?

You have to be in the LT spot. If it says "only works at a certain position" it only works at a certain position (like the "general" skills). You can play players out of position, you know.

Does aura of intimidation work on offense. Will a player with aura of intimidation reduce the morale of the defenders around him?

No.

What is a lead block? Can a pulling guard benefit from the lead block SA or must a lead block come from the back field?

Pulling guard counts as lead block. Any time a player is heading downfield with the RB following him, it's a lead block.

Can I use a Shock Block while lead blocking as a FB? Do I have to be pass blocking for it to work?

It says it's a pass blocking skill, doesn't it? You'd have to be pass blocking.

^^ Thanks for the info, Bort.

Is your first line confirmation on Demoralize working with HB, Bort?

Hey, Bort, I asked this somewhere else about Quick Cut and Change Direction.

It seems both are agility boosters and I'd like to know what would happen if you actually got both through acquiring an advanced equipment.

Would quick cut 3 and change direction 1 add to "agility booster 4"? Would it be better, since that "1" to the new skill is worth more than that "4" to the old skill, considering diminishing returns?"

What would be much better is to replace the training meters with something much cooler like SA meters, so we can see a page of all these skills and how much they are activated, as well as how much they increase for the next upgrade if we mouseover them or whatever. So when you have a new SA as an equipment item to add, you could mouseover it and it shows you how much your meter could increase by adding that eqipment for various situational skills that it may apply to.

No, he'd have to be in the QB spot.

Yes, they are basically the same thing.

But are they subject to the same diminishing returns rule or does each SA have its own? Practial question is if we're better having points split into them (say 2/2 instead of 4/0) or if it doesn't matter at all.

Well based on Borts response I see no reason to take SAs that are not in your original player. Maybe the quick cut can help very fast players and Defensive SAs can help other defensers but yo just gonna gimp your build if you try and make them fit.
