Probably just helps when they are kick/INT/fumble returning.

useful for offensive players too?

Good question.

talks about a LB first and a radius then. So will a CB be able to influence the WR and a safety to influence anyone?

Will work for all players, but LB is in the middle so it's more effective for them.

useful for defenders (I guess not)? useful for blockers (C, G, OT)?

Yeah, I got this for O-Line. Don't really get why it is in their equipment pool.

about about closing speed for a DE, or is it too closely linked to tunnel vision?

Wow, and I actually thought that you were going to give examples of SAs that are paradoxical. Turns out you were just giving examples of SAs that you can get from Adv. equipment that don't fit on the player that's getting them.

I am pretty sure it works for a defender.

The Blitz SA specifies the blitz action. Does that mean a DE or DT can't use it since they aren't blitzing?

This one I'm not sure of but I think Bort has said that any player rushing the passer is considered blitzing. It should work.

The protect SA says you must be in the LT spot. Does that mean a center can't benefit from that piece of equipment. If so, why offer it to him?

Because equipment generation is random. You could get way worse than that, a C could use it if he was subbing for the LT position.

Does aura of intimidation work on offense. Will a player with aura of intimidation reduce the morale of the defenders around him?

What is a lead block? Can a pulling guard benefit from the lead block SA or must a lead block come from the back field?

Can I use a Shock Block while lead blocking as a FB? Do I have to be pass blocking for it to work?

All good questions who I think only Bort can answer.

I thought you messed up the quotes...because Bort already answered all of those: http://goallineblitz.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=1068932&page=2#8307440

Nice Nixx. Thanks. That entire post by Bort should be stickied somewhere.

Nixx have you thought of doing your own Bort stalker thread? Would be more useful than being stuck in that other one, imo

We're thinking about adding something to the wiki. Still in early stages of discussion though.

How about closing speed for a DE?

Everytime I reroll the store for my lvl 8 and below O linemen I get a +2% make tackle...If tackling does not benefit O linemen in the way blocking helps D linemen why is it there. I suppose your going to say because they can play ST, but why would a person want to gimp their build later on as a starter so that they can get a shoddy ST boost early on?

maybe that? http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=175447&pbp_id=7049378

I already experimented with this.

I went on a shopping spree, refreshing so to find only useful SAs.

Guards, I gave them Lead Block.
DEs I gave them Blitz.
CBs I gave them 1 handed catch and diving tackle.
Etc.
I even equiped a player with TWO of the same SA from the shop and he automatically goes to 2.

This is the key here...when equiping these items to my players, you have to unequip EQT like +5 strength, or +5 speed, that you've been upgrading at each 8 levels.

In the case where you're adding two bits of advanced EQT you're foregoing sometimes +10 in an attribute like strength or speed.

Ok, so before this one game all my games against opponents better than my team I was losing about 10-60. For one game I equiped all these items and went up against a team that was actually not as good as teams beating me 60-10. The final result was 115-3 i think. In the game, i was pancaked silly, I was sacked constantly, and my DBs were getting torched on every play, meanwhile my LBs were missing millions of tackles.

So i sold them all back and re-equiped my normal EQT and next top 4 opponent I played I was back to losing 60-10.

Morale of the story...."additional" SAs are a waste of time imo. Especially when raw SPs in your base attributes is the foundation of GLB, and what makes teams beat other teams (levels pwning levels). Giving up +5 here or +10 there for an "additional" SA (which would only be +1 of) is the worst thing you can do.

If Advanced EQT is to be worth using, imo it should be that you add the items you buy and do NOT have to unequip normal EQT.
