No, you can make a run blocking OT, and still have plenty enough Speed and Agility.

I'm telling you, OTs are ridiculously easy to build. They're the easiest position to build on the game, still.

No, kickers and punters are.

O-Line is close 3rd.

Are we acting like any position is hard to build? Honestly?

What is the right formula? Would an 80 strength, 80 blocking, 80 agility, and 60 speed LOT work? Or does there need to be more blocking and SAs such as protect, foundation, or pass blocking?

When you build an OT that gets 38 pancakes a game against relatively even competition, you are going to give up sacks. Pretty simple

Run focused, Pass focused or Balanced. Really a Left Tackle should be primarily passed focused. Because the Right Tackle has the Tight End to help on run blocking, they should still be a balanced between running and passing. Right now all the Tackles I've seen complained about on these threads are built like guards or centers. For some reason someone with a Left Tackle thinks he should be as strong as the Guard beside him. That commitment to strength cost them needed agility to stay with edge rushers.

Exactly. For the past 2 seasons, OTs were able to get strength up to 110+ without any repurcussions in the passing game. This was probably *partly* responsible for teams not being able to stop the run game very well too. Hey, if you dont have to stop a pass rush, why NOT just pump strength like crazy, and no way the defense stood much of a chance at stopping the run game. Hopefully this brings back a little balance to the game (we're already seeing a lot fewer 200 total point/1000 total yard games this season). Things are looking pretty good right now, but i am a little worried that DEs are still a little underpowered, but it's worlds better than last season at least.

And really, how much experimentation can you do on an OL at level 40+? If you dont have at least 68 natural in str/agi/blk and at least 48 vision, then you deserve to get beat on. What else are you going to put SPs in?

I meant successful positions/players.

Is it really really difficult to build any of the standard positions? Is it difficult to pump throwing to 73, then get random other attributes to 60-68? Is it tough to pump Strength to 73, then load up on Power Through?

I mean honestly, once you "know" what works, is there any real difficulty in actually doing it?

I was joking. I Feel like this guy is going to turn out better than any lb'er I have seen in a really long time!

This skill is very important for OTs who play a lot of LT and have a slow QB to protect.
Additional Levels: Increases the bonus to agility, speed, and blocking when playing the LT position.

Meh, my OT got hit up pretty good in a preseason game (was responsible for at least 3 sacks). Good DEs > Good OTs. We keep avoiding a good balance w/ the O-Line/D-Line. Finding a middle ground is tough.

idiot. pay attention

Then why does this de of yours have only 1 sack, http://goallineblitz.com/game/player_game_log.pl?player_id=434010, and it came vs a horrible team. Should be wreaking havoc if "Good des > good ot's"
